NSA LPS Program Overview
UTS supported the NSA Research Directorate’s Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) by providing engineers, scientists, and consultants across a wide range of advanced research areas. From 2012 to 2019, UTS staff contributed to initiatives in quantum computing, superconductivity, microelectronics, machine learning, cybersecurity, Radio Frequency systems, and neuromorphic computing. UTS collaborated with LPS and university researchers from University of Maryland in pursuit of next-generation computing and communication technologies.

Program Scope:
UTS provided support to the NSA’s Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) with long-term research and development expertise. Our engineers, consultants, and scientists contributed across multiple domains, including quantum computing, superconductivity, RF systems, microelectronics, neuromorphic computing, machine learning, and cybersecurity analysis. The NSA LPS program also emphasized advanced computing architectures and antenna design, with collaboration between LPS researchers, UTS specialists, and University of Maryland partners.
